Did the demo change? I last played this game like 4-6 months ago and loved it, came back to play it again and everything is different. Love the new stuff but miss the old one too.
Yeah, it's currently undergoing a re-write, I'm glad that you enjoyed the old demo but I just wasn't happy with my writing. I've gotten better now as a writer, and I really wanted my work to reflect that.
However, I dont plan to completely scrap everything. Some things will be kept in place, just re-worded. Some scenes will be placed elsewhere to make room for others etc.
I can't say right now how everything will be, but it'll definitely be better that's for sure. And, will make way for the MC to start forming relationships with the other characters much earlier.

regarding the problem of missing UI on andriod devices, I know that twine games can work on apps like Joiplay, but the game have to be downloaded for it to be imported, which leads to me wanting to ask if you can provide a download link for the game, so I can play on my tablet. It would be totally fine if not tho, as I did notice that you will also be handing out all the codes you put together with the game. Thanks for your hard work!

Secondly, the problem with the UI bar should be fixed and functional on all platforms. I've fixed it recently and I've tried it on both my laptop & android and everything is fine. love the story! Although in the prologue Im kinda confused with POV change. Its manageable, just confusing.
With regards to the mobile version. I think the interface is not stable, when I clicked the profile theres no back button. I opened the game in two different browsers. If used in chrome in the opening page of the game, the one with warning, the left arrow drawer appears theres the back or forward button. After you click the warning page to proceed the arrow drawers would be gone.
in duckduckgo browser, no arrow drawers or back button whatsoever, the only way is to proceed forward.
nevertheless, really enjoyed this story, awaiting for more updates! Thanks for sharing your game.

Mhm! Imagine MC just going off the grid after an accident happened on a mission. But in reality it was planned in order to escape the confines of the facility and be free from their grasps, but it not knowing that in doing so would devastate ALOT of certain people.
*cough* RO'S + Platonic *cough*
Imagine the ANGST (ESPECIALLY if the MC & an RO/s were like a thing or at least crushing)
๐ But all jokes aside, it's a great idea and I can practically taste the sweet angst from here. Though, there are 2 good reasons why the MC would never do that:
1. They can't, literally. You see for all their power, strength, high rankings within The Facility and overall capabilities. The Special Unit is kind of helpless against The Facility, who view them as nothing more than government attack dogs. And, every dog needs a good leash....one in which, The Facility has tightly wrapped around their necks.
Which is why, if the MC were to ever pull a stunt like that. The Facility would know about it, and the MC would be punished immensely for it. In fact, a similar incident took place once in the past, which is why all the S.P.U members know never to try something like that
2. The MC would literally never do that, even if they could pull it off. As the game progresses, you'll get to see just how close each member is to one another. They're practically family, and all eachother has. They've literally grown up together, and have had eachother's backs through everything.
There's also one member in particular, who sacrificed much for the betterment of The Special Unit. In fact, if they hadn't....in a sick way to put it, 'taken one for the team.' The Special Unit would never have been formed, and the treatment they received as children would have continued.
So the MC's actions, would've been a complete slap in the face. Especially in regards to that particular member and, they would all hate the MC. Even fight them actually ๐ and with good reason too. The S.P.U members have literally grown up in hell, and through their struggles, they have become eachother's support system.
So none of them, would ever even think of leaving the others to parish in that hell hole. The MC's disappearance would also, put a large target on all their teammates and mentors' backs. Essentially, putting them at risk of being 'eliminated.'
Though despite all of that.....The MC will certainly have the opportunity, to betray a couple of people. Even, break a few hearts....already has actually ๐
I am intrigued, and yes I understand those reasons(2nd one especially) completely. I also have a few other "what if's" & "imagines" but I'll save that when you open asks. Once again I love the thought you put into this!

I've noticed your game. I just wanted to offer some pointers:
Colors are important, and readability is also important. Make sure to use <<nobr>> and <<endnobr>> with <br>s to reduce whitespace in sections that hold content that may not appear to the player. As well, <<linkreplace>> and <<linkappend>> are also good tools to use to keep the game feeling like a game. Some of the screens are really hard to read, but I like the concept. I'd love to give this a longer try after some more work.
I'm still new to coding so thank you for the tips, I'll definitely take your advice on board. And, lol yes I realized how much of a burden the colour changes are on the eyes, so that's going for sure.
Can I ask just how far the game is in development? I was playing and seemed interesting but I got to talking to the hostages and already there was unfinished dailouge options.
I don't want to ruin anything for you, so I won't name a specific scene. However, the game progresses much further than that, and continues after the hostage situation. I think the problem is, that you may be choosing dialogue choices that have the symbol (NF) next to it. Which stands for 'Not finished', if you avoid those choices for the time being, the game will progress. Though, I'll be sure to make that clearer to readers, when I next update the game.
I think I started late last year, though at the time I was also working on many other games. So, my attention was cut between each of them. Now, as much as I want my games to have real world variation.
It can also be quite draining, accomodating for many different variables. So, sometimes I just skip a particular scene and carry on with the story. That way I won't go crazy, and I can come back later to fill in those missing scenes bit by bit with a fresh perspective.
My choises were: "lure them away" and then "hand the gun to the girl"
Also since theres no "This persons POV" (or something of the sort) after this point it gets confusing whos talking/thinking right now. You might want to add some sort of indicator.
Other than that I quite like the game, your writing is good!

Thank you for pointing out the errors to me, they have since been fixed. And to answer your question about Wolfe, well he isn't an option to sit next to in class, because unlike the rest he really doesn't need to be lol. Who you're sat next to in class becomes a factor in the next update, one that doesn't affect Wolfe in the least. So stay tuned to find out ;)

It can also be quite draining, accomodating for many different variables. So, sometimes I just skip a particular scene and carry on with the story. That way I won't go crazy, and I can come back later to fill in those missing scenes bit by bit with a fresh perspective.

Also since theres no "This persons POV" (or something of the sort) after this point it gets confusing whos talking/thinking right now. You might want to add some sort of indicator.

Thank you for pointing that out to me, I have since fixed the coding error. Also, thank you for bringing the POV dilemma to my attention. I wasn't aware that I hadn't specified who was speaking, in that particular part of the game (This is why feedback is so helpful). I have since added additional text to that option, so hopefully that will clear up any misunderstandings.

Thank you for pointing out the errors to me, they have since been fixed. And to answer your question about Wolfe, well he isn't an option to sit next to in class, because unlike the rest he really doesn't need to be lol. Who you're sat next to in class becomes a factor in the next update, one that doesn't affect Wolfe in the least. So stay tuned to find out ;)
